Duda Sod grows St. Augustine, Bahia, Zoysia and other specialty varieties suited for Florida lawns. Each has unique characteristics:

• St. Augustine – Great for home lawns, tolerates partial shade.

• Bahia – Low maintenance and drought-tolerant.

• Zoysia – Dense, premium-looking turf ideal for high-visibility areas.

The right sod depends on sunlight, soil type, irrigation, and foot traffic. For example:

• St. Augustine – partial shade, moderate use

• Bahia – full sun, low maintenance

• Zoysia – full sun to light shade, high aesthetic appeal

While both are St. Augustine varieties, there are key differences:

• Floratam – Very aggressive growth, excellent disease resistance, performs best in sunny areas.

• Provista – Dense, dark-green turf, with slightly more shade tolerance and a premium appearance.

• CitraBlue – A vibrant, blue-green variety that establishes quickly and holds up well in sunny Florida landscapes.

• Seville- is a fine leaved, semi-dwarf St. Augustine that performs well in the shade. With a light green color and low growth habit, SEVILLE can provide an aesthetically pleasing lawn.

Measure the length and width of each area and multiply them to get square footage.

Example: 20 ft × 30 ft = 600 sq. ft.

Depending on the location it’s cut from and variety, a full pallet typically covers 400 -500 square feet.

Duda Sod is harvested fresh from our farms daily. Freshness ensures the grass roots properly and establishes quickly. Install as soon as possible after pickup or delivery.

Sod is best installed within 24–48 hours after harvesting or delivery. If left on the pallet longer:

• Keep it in a shaded area

• Water lightly to prevent drying

• Avoid stacking pallets too closely to allow airflow

Yes, we deliver throughout Florida using a trusted third-party delivery company. Delivery days may vary by location, and routes and timing are managed by the delivery company. Pricing is calculated based on the distance from our farm to your delivery address.

• Retail customers: Pickup is available only at our Oviedo location.

• Contractors: Pickup is available at Oviedo, Melbourne, and Lake Placid locations.
  

Our team will load pallets on site.

Proper preparation helps sod establish quickly:

• Remove existing grass and debris

• Level and grade the soil

• Loosen topsoil and add amendments if needed

• Lightly water soil before laying sod

Water immediately after installation and keep the sod consistently moist until roots are established:

• Weeks 1–2: Water daily

• Weeks 3–4: Reduce frequency gradually

• After establishment: Transition to normal lawn watering
